Women’s Basketball

The lady Yellowjackets opened the season with two games this last weekend, Friday, Nov. 13 and Saturday, Nov. 14, losing both games.

On Friday, RCTC took on Dordt JV, and lost 53-60.

Nathalie Ratliff scored 15 points, and Lakin Koski sank 11. Ratliff also had two three-pointers, and Jenna Svoboda had one. The Yellowjackets had 37 rebounds.

On Saturday, the Yellowjackets took on Northwestern JV, losing 65-77.

Justine Gonzalez scored 21 points and Ratliff 16. Ratliff sank two of four 3-pointer attempts, and Gonzalez sank three of ten attempts. RCTC had 42 rebounds.

The Yellowjackets play next on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at NIACC at 5:30 p.m.

Men’s Basketball

The men traveled to Inver Hills to take on Dakota County on Saturday, Nov. 14, winning 95-85.

Willie Sandifer sank 22 of the 95 points. Ben Ratliff had 13 points, nine of which were three pointers. He sank all three of his three-pointer attempts. The Yellowjackets had 52 rebounds during the game, and were nearly 70% on their free throws.

The Yellowjackets play next on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at NIACC at 7:30 p.m.


The wrestling team traveled to Decorah, IA, for the Luther Open on Saturday, Nov. 14.

Brett Bradford took second at the Elite 157 weight class and Coltan Laganiere took fourth.

Chase Nottestad took fourth at the Silver 285 weight class.

The Yellowjackets’ next meet is Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Augsburg Open at 9 a.m.
