On Saturday, Nov. 21, the Yellowjacket wrestling team t the Augsburg Open in Minneapolis.
Curt Palodichuk took third place at silver 133, and Austin Peper took fourth. Brett Bradford took first place at the silver 157 weight class and Deven Loepp followed in second place. Connor Hanson took third in the silver 165 and Marcus Blount-McKinley took sixth. Dustin Lee took sixth place at silver 174.
The Yellowjackets play next on Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Dragon Open.
The men’s basketball team brought home two wins over the week.
On Wednesday, Nov. 18, the Yellowjackets took on NIACC and won 89-72.
Demetrius Cady sank 30 points during the game, scoring six of eight three-pointer attempts. The team made nearly 61% of their free throw attempts and had 41 rebounds.
On Saturday, Nov. 21, the team traveled to Milwaukee Area Technical College and won 99-85.
Willie Sandifer scored 20 points, followed by Isaiah Coddon with 17. Ben Ratliff scored three of five three-pointer attempts. Cady grabbed another two three-pointers. The team had a little more than 64% of its free throws go in and had 38 rebounds.
The Yellowjackets play next on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 8 p.m. against Madison College here at RCTC.
The women’s basketball team took on NIACC on Wednesday, Nov. 18, and lost 61-83.
Nathalie Ratliff, Reed Klunder, and Justine Gonzalez each scored 11 points. Ratliff and Gonzalez each had a three-pointer, and Klunder scored three.
The team scored an impressive 82% of their free throws and had 41 rebounds.
The Yellowjackets play next on Tuesday, Nov. 24 home at 6 p.m. against Madison College.
