RCTC Accreditation Reaffirmed by Higher Learning Commission

Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) is proud to announce its reaffirmation of accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The HLC is the regional accrediting body charged by the U.S. Department of Education to ensure colleges and universities in 19 states in the North Central region provide high-quality educational opportunities to the citizens and communities they serve. RCTC was first accredited by the HLC in 1923.

“We applaud the efforts of the countless employees and students who prepared numerous reports and documents required for the Comprehensive Site Visit that took place in April,” said RCTC Interim President Mary Davenport, Ph.D. “We also want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of RCTC’s outstanding faculty and staff who have provided high quality education and services throughout the years that provided the foundation for the College to receive its continued accreditation status.”

As an institution dedicated to continuous quality improvement, RCTC looks forward to many successful accreditation visits to come.
