SUMMER 2018 WHAT NOW/WHAT’S NEXT?
‘’What Now/What’s Next’’ is a collaborative effort between Mayo School of Health Sciences highlighting the selective admission Health Science programs offered by each institution.

If you are interested in the health care field or you are undecided about your major, join us to learn more.

  • When:  Thursday, April 19, 2018
  • Where:  RCTC, Coffman Building 206/208
  • Time:  5:00 – 6:30 p.m.

Learn about the offerings at RCTC:

  • Dental Assistant
  • Dental Hygiene
  • Emergency Medical Technology
  • Nursing (AD) program
  • Practical Nursing
  • Surgical Technology

Learn about RCTC and Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences joint programs:

  • Histology
  • Radiography
  • Respiratory Care

Learn about the offerings at University of Minnesota-Rochester:

  • Health Sciences bachelor’s degree options

There will be a question and answer session for participants and a chance to meet with program directors after the session. The presentation starts promptly at 5:00 p.m., so plan to get there early!

SPRING 2018 WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE
April 16 is the last day to withdraw from full-term Spring Semester classes. Students unsure if they should withdraw from a course are encouraged to consult an academic advisor or counselor.

You can withdraw on the eServices site until 11pm or withdraw in person at the RCTC Admissions and Registration counter until 5pm. Students with “holds” on their record must withdraw in person.

The published withdrawal deadlines for short term courses that start late or end early in the semester are available on the RCTC web site.

PLEASE NOTE:  Withdrawals do not impact a student’s GPA, but they impact a student’s completion rate and may impact your ability to maintain satisfactory academic progress.

SUMMER 2018 REGISTRATION AVAILABLE
The Summer 2018 term registration window is open to all current students. You are able to register in the eServices site today!  Advisors/Counselors are excellent resources to help plan your schedules. For assistance, you can contact Admissions/Records at (507) 285-7268 until 5pm.  Summer Session tuition payments will be due Friday, May 4, 2018.

OPEN GYM
Come over to the Sports Center and participate in Open Gym! Open Gym will run through the last day of spring semester. Daily hours are Mondays – Fridays from 10:00am to 2:00pm

Remember you must bring your current student ID to participate. For more information, please visit our Open Gym website.

RCTC DISC GOLF COURSE
RCTC Student Life would like everyone to know that the Disc Golf Course is up and operational. Feel free to use the course at your leisure. If you would like to check out some discs stop by the open gym table in the field house (Mondays – Fridays from 10:00am-2:00pm) and they will be happy to get you what you need.

EARTH WEEK ACTIVITIES
Join us for the Earth Week events running from April 16-21, 2018.

There are all kinds of activities planned for the week both at Heintz Center and Main Campus.  Stop in when you can even for a few minutes.  For more information on the Earth Week activities, check out the flyer here.

Have you heard?  You have newly elected student government executive officers for 208-2019!

Thanks to the 294 of you who voted in the Spring General Election last week. Student Government is open to all students, and you have an opportunity to run for a student senator position in Fall semester! As a senator, you will work directly with the student leadership to represent the voice of all students and create change at RCTC. Additional details will be posted soon on the Student Government website, so be sure to check back for updates.
