After a student’s first registration at RCTC, the student will receive refund preference packet by mail from “BankMobile”. Students are required to sign into the website, yellowjacketcard.vibeaccount.com, to designate HOW they want their funds released to them. Students can choose to have funding sent by direct deposit to their own bank account (funds available in 3-4 business days), by direct deposit to a “OneAccount” (funds available the next business day) or by paper check via mail (funds available in 6-8 business days). Learn more about the refund preference packet which should arrive by mail in a GREEN ENVELOPE. To avoid delays in receiving your funding, please declare your disbursement preference as soon as possible after receiving your packet.
During completion of your Financial Aid file, you have the opportunity to give the College permission to apply your Financial Aid funds toward any unpaid balance you may have. These items may include, but are not limited to, tuition, fees, textbook charges, library fines, parking tickets, returned check charges, etc.

Rochester Community and Technical College wants to make sure that you’re recognized for your achievements. RCTC uses a platform called The Link to publicize your accomplishments like making the dean’s list, and graduating from RCTC. This platform allows us to send news items about your achievements back to your hometown newspapers.
When RCTC issues news stories about your accomplishments, you’ll receive an email to your RCTC email account with a link to view your story online. You can connect with Facebook and share your achievement with friends and family.
You always have the option to “opt-out” of publicity about your success by following the College’s non-disclosure process as per Student Data Practices Policy which can be viewed on our website at: www.rctc.edu/policies/student/Student_Data_Practices.html. Students who do not want to disclose directory information must submit specific written requests to the Admissions and Records Office by contacting the office for additional information and/or to obtain a “Request for Non-Disclosure” form.
We look forward to celebrating your achievements with your local hometown media and online. Keep up the good work and be on the lookout for emails about your accomplishments!
LIBRARY ORIENTATION TOURS, Spring, 2017
This spring, Goddard Library will once again offer orientation tours designed to introduce students to the library. Topics include library services, navigating the library website, a tour of the library. Librarians are prepared to document attendance for extra credit or as a class requirement. We are also happy to schedule an orientation for individual classes.
Librarians will continue to meet with classes for library instruction aimed at a particular assignment. Students who have attended a library tour are more likely to use library services on a regular basis, and are better prepared to focus on the research skills taught during these classes.
Please share the attached schedule with your students, and encourage them to participate. No registration is required; simply instruct students to meet at the Reference/Information desk. Tours take approximately 30 minutes.
