Rochester Community and Technical College has a long history of supporting and honoring heroes. We take pride in honoring veterans and active duty servicemen and women. RCTC has the distinction of being designated a veteran friendly school and is one of the first Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Campuses in the State of Minnesota. We’re proud to house a Veteran’s Resource Center on campus to support our veteran students as they transition into College as it is of utmost importance to do everything we can to make our veterans feel welcome and comfortable.
RCTC actively supports our campus veterans’ organization and proudly offers Purple Heart and Hero reserved parking for those who have been injured in the line of military service, as well as active duty military, emergency response, fire, and law enforcement personnel.
In observance of the Veteran’s Day Holiday, RCTC will not be holding classes on Friday, November 10th, and we ask our campus community and greater Rochester community to join us in taking a moment to reflect on the sacrifices our brave women and men have made to help protect and defend our country—both today and in the past. Chances are you have family or friends who have served this nation, and we thank them all for their service.
