Becoming a Student Ambassador
Student Ambassadors at Rochester Community and Technical College are a new concept. Our student body has always been involved on campus and in our community. Now students have a new opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills, network, and boost their resumes all while preparing for rewarding careers in their fields of study.
Introducing a New Opportunity
Beginning this summer there will be two different positions available within the Student Ambassador Program. Students can apply for both positions or just one.
Summer Orientation Leader
The Summer Orientation Leaders assist incoming students in navigating a successful transition to RCTC. This is a great opportunity for a student who just wants to work during the summer and is interested in developing quick leadership skills.
The Student Ambassadors play a vital role in recruitment and retention of students at RCTC. This program connects new students with successful upper-class students for individual and group mentoring. Student Ambassadors also lead perspective student tours around campus and have a deep understanding of student services and academic programs. Student Ambassadors work during the Fall and Spring semesters and will develop extensive leadership, event planning, critical thinking, and communication skills.
