Student Life Annual Fall Club Day on Wednesday
Student Life’s Annual Fall Club Day is Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Atrium.
Learn about the many extracurricular options available to students in the form of clubs. This is a great time to browse most of the 30 chartered clubs and programs that RCTC has available.
It’s also a great time to check out if your interests are represented. If they aren’t, you are able to form your own club and receive funding from Student Life.
Being a member of a student club is not only a way to get involved, but it comes with benefits as well.
“I’ve always looked at extracurricular activities as having two massive benefits – study after study after study has shown that students who are involved with something on campus outside of their classes simply do better academically and are more likely to graduate,” said student president Michael Wenzel.
“Employers are looking a lot more closely at what their prospective employees did outside the classroom in terms of involvement, leadership, and service,” he added. “If you can combine all those benefits with an activity that fits an area of personal interests for you and which allows you to have fun and meet other students with similar interests, all the better.”
The clubs will host activities and displays, and the club representatives will be present to provide information and answer questions.
