As the heart of our college community, you are being asked to participate in the Yellowjacket Pledge. The Yellowjacket Pledge provides an opportunity for all community members to be a leader by carrying out the expectations of the pledge and assuming a responsibility to make our campus a more caring, collaborative, and positive environment. Participation in the Yellowjacket Pledge is voluntary allows you to show your support for the mission, vision, and values of Rochester Community and Technical College by committing to being a positive and engaged member of our College community. The pledge is not enforceable as a policy, but provides a shared understanding of what it means to be a Yellowjacket.
As a Yellowjacket, I commit myself to engaging in behaviors and actions that support the mission, vision, and values of Rochester Community and Technical College. I will demonstrate respect for myself and other community members. I am responsible for my own actions, and strive to follow the policies and expectations of the College in order to maintain a safe and positive environment for all. I recognize the value of civility and the importance of seeking to understand an idea, experience, or identity different from my own in order to find common ground and build understanding around areas of difference. I value the College as a place to learn and grow. I will act with integrity, and expect the best in myself by working hard and utilizing the resources and support available for me to succeed. I do this for my own success, and to support the success of all members of the College community.
If you are ready to be a leader and role model respect, integrity, civility, and responsibility to others and are ready to help make our campus a more caring, collaborative, and positive environment to support your success and the success of others then sign the pledge here.
All members of the college community who sign the pledge will have a copy of the pledge e-mailed to them as a reminder of their commitment!
